{"id":435,"date":"2025-03-23T16:40:09","date_gmt":"2025-03-23T15:40:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fondazione.ciaolapo.it\/ciaolapo-ets-foundation\/"},"modified":"2025-03-23T17:35:08","modified_gmt":"2025-03-23T16:35:08","slug":"ciaolapo-ets-foundation","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.fondazione.ciaolapo.it\/en\/","title":{"rendered":"CiaoLapo ETS Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Research, training, and support for conscious perinatality<\/em><\/h3>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-443\" src=\"https:\/\/www.fondazione.ciaolapo.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/homepage-e1742747584672.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\"><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Who we are<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The <strong>CiaoLapo ETS Foundation<\/strong> was established in 2019 to promote research and education in the perinatal area, building on the 20-year experience of the<strong>CiaoLapo APS ETS Association<\/strong>, founded in 2006 by physicians Claudia Ravaldi and Alfredo Vannacci following the loss of their son Lapo, who was born lifeless at term.<\/p>\n<p>We aim to improve the quality of health, psychological and social care in complex birth pathways through:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>independent scientific research;<\/li>\n<li>Evidence-based training for perinatal health workers;<\/li>\n<li>Promotion of the rights of women, children and families;<\/li>\n<li>Integrated psychological support for parents affected by perinatal bereavement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><strong>What we do<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>\ud83d\udcca Research and innovation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordination of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pearl.unifi.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>PeaRL Perinatal Research Laboratory.<\/strong><\/a>, in collaboration with the University of Florence.<\/li>\n<li>Clinical, epidemiological, and psychosocial <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fondazione.ciaolapo.it\/category\/ricerca\/progetti\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">research projects<\/a> on bereavement, perinatal mental health, medication use in pregnancy, and prevention.<\/li>\n<li>Production of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fondazione.ciaolapo.it\/category\/ricerca\/tesi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">theses<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fondazione.ciaolapo.it\/category\/ricerca\/articoli\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">publications<\/a> and participation in national and international research calls.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\ud83c\udf93 Operator training<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Over <strong>1,000 health workers<\/strong> trained each year.<\/li>\n<li>Accredited courses based on <strong>international guidelines<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Dissemination of best practices for <strong>empathic and trauma-informed care<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\ud83d\udc99 Support for families<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>1,000+ couples<\/strong> supported each year by trained professionals.<\/li>\n<li>National network of <strong>15 self-help groups<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Free resources for parents and caregivers (guides, webinars, information materials).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><strong>A participatory and innovative approach<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The CiaoLapo Foundation is a benchmark in Italy for the active involvement of <strong>parents and professionals<\/strong> in setting research priorities, co-designing educational interventions, and evaluating the impact of best practices.<\/p>\n<p>Through a multidisciplinary, evidence-oriented approach that respects families&#8217;
